A small front carrier from Swedish brand BabyBjörn designed specifically for newborns and the first months, in soft, stretchy 3D Jersey in Light Grey (article no. 021072). It goes on quickly for frequent short babywearing sessions, and the entire front panel unfastens so you can lift out a sleeping baby.

Limitations

- Short practical lifespan: best for the early months, and there is no back carry.
- BabyGearLab scored it low for child comfort (4/10) compared with more adjustable carriers.
- Fairly expensive for a carrier with a limited period of use.
Care
Machine wash at 40°C (ideally in a wash bag, without bleach or fabric softener); do not tumble dry or iron. Wipe minor stains with a damp cloth.

A simple BabyBjörn newborn carrier rated 4.7/5 from 1,739 Amazon.sa ratings, shipped and sold by Amazon.sa. Mother&Baby rated it 4.5/5 and MadeForMums 4.1/5 for its ease of use and softness, and BabyGearLab gave it 8/10 for ease of use. However, the lack of a waist belt makes it hard on the shoulders as the baby grows: Wirecutter's testers found it painful by about 2 months, and BabyGearLab scored child comfort 4/10. It is worth it with conditions: for short sessions in the early months. This assessment is based on shopper ratings, published reviews and manufacturer information; we did not test it ourselves.
A good fit if
- If you need it for short carrying sessions in the early months, not long carries or an older baby
- Use the facing-out position only from at least 5 months, once your baby holds their head up
- If you plan to carry for hours or into toddlerhood, consider a carrier with a waist belt
