About the product
Overview
A baby bouncer from Swedish brand BabyBjörn: the Bouncer Bliss in soft 3D Jersey, light grey, sold on Amazon.sa as a bundle with the Soft friends toy. It rocks gently with your baby's own movements, so it needs no batteries or power.
Key features (per BabyBjörn)
- Ergonomic shape supporting the baby's back, neck and head, with three seat positions plus a fold-flat transport mode.
- Lightweight (2.1 kg for the bouncer alone) and folds flat to about 11 cm thick for storage or travel.
- Converts to a toddler chair by turning the fabric seat around once the child can sit and walk unaided, up to 13 kg.
- BabyBjörn states it meets the European safety standard EN 12790 and is acknowledged as hip-healthy by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI).
- Removable fabric seat, machine washable at 40°C.
- 3D Jersey fabric: 80% polyester, 16% cotton, 4% elastane.
Who it suits
- Newborns from 3.5 kg (about 53 cm) as a bouncer, up to 9 kg or until the baby starts trying to sit up.
- As a chair for children up to 13 kg (about 2 years) who can sit and walk on their own.
- Parents who want a safe spot to keep the baby close while they get things done, and prefer calm motion without sounds or lights.
Limits before you buy
- Expensive compared with most bouncers, and this listing ships from Amazon Germany on Amazon.sa.
- No motorised vibration or music; motion comes from the baby or from you.
- The lowest position is rated to 7 kg only, per the owner's manual.
- Not for sleep: if the baby falls asleep, move them to a firm, flat sleep surface.
- Some reviewers find the most reclined position leans back too far for some babies.
Care and use
- Never leave the baby unattended, always use the harness, and check the buttons are locked after changing position.
- Use on the floor only, never on a table, bed or other raised surface.
- Wash the fabric separately at 40°C with a mild, bleach-free detergent; do not tumble dry.
- Do not use accessories or spare parts not approved by the manufacturer.
Why this rating?
A simple, high-quality bouncer rated 4.8/5 on Amazon.sa; independent reviewers such as Mumsnet rank it among the best bouncers, and Wirecutter and BabyGearLab pick its close sibling, the Bouncer Balance Soft, built on the same concept. BabyBjörn states it meets EN 12790, and it lasts from birth to about 2 years, but its high price lowers the value score. This is an editorial assessment based on sources and reviews, not our own testing.
