About the product
Overview
A countertop drying rack from Boon shaped like a patch of grass: flexible blades hold bottles and washed parts upright to air dry while excess water drains into a lower tray. It is the larger version of Boon's smaller Grass rack.
Key features (per Boon and the Amazon.sa listing)
- Flexible blades hold items of many shapes and sizes: bottles, nipples, pacifiers, cups and breast pump parts.
- Large surface of about 34 × 28 × 6 cm; the listing images say it holds up to 18 bottles (actual capacity depends on bottle size).
- Two-piece design (blades and tray) that separates easily for emptying and washing.
- Made of polypropylene and ABS, without BPA or PVC, per Boon.
- Boon says the updated version has more airflow and an antimicrobial tray that resists mold and mildew growth (based on the company's testing); this feature is shown in the Amazon.sa listing images.
What reviews found
- Parents named it best overall drying rack after polling parents, noting several kept using it after the bottle stage.
- Baby Bargains named it best overall for its practical design, but criticised that it is not dishwasher-safe and that the tray gets moldy if not emptied.
- BabyGearLab tested the smaller Grass model with the same blade design and scored it well for ease of use and durability, but very low for ease of cleaning.
- On Amazon.sa, local reviews praise its large size, build quality and how easily the green part separates from the base for cleaning.
Who it suits
- Parents who wash several bottles and pump parts a day and want one place to dry them.
- Kitchens with enough counter space next to the sink.
Limits before buying
- Not dishwasher-safe; hand wash only.
- Needs roughly 34 × 28 cm of counter space; if space is tight, the smaller Grass may fit better.
- Accessories such as Twig and Stem are sold separately and are not included.
- Water in the tray must be emptied regularly; the antimicrobial tray does not replace cleaning.
- The Amazon ratings shown include reviews from Amazon stores in other countries.
Care and use
- Separate the blades from the tray and empty the water as often as possible.
- Hand wash in warm, soapy water, rinse and air dry.
- Do not microwave, boil, sterilize or freeze, per Boon.
- Boon's listing images suggest occasionally soaking the blades in warm water with a little white vinegar, then rinsing.
Why this rating?
Based on published sources and shopper ratings (we did not test it ourselves): the Boon Lawn is one of the most popular drying racks; Parents and Baby Bargains both named it best overall, it holds 4.8/5 from over 13,000 ratings on Amazon.sa, and it is sold and shipped by Amazon.sa. Boon says it is made without BPA or PVC. Holding the score back: hand wash only, the blades are harder to clean than conventional racks (per BabyGearLab's test of the smaller Grass), the tray needs regular emptying, its Saudi price is higher than Boon's US list price, and accessories cost extra.
A good fit if
- If you have enough counter space
- If you are willing to empty the tray and hand wash the rack regularly
