Overview

A CYBEX high-back booster car seat for older children 100-150 cm tall. Your child is secured with the car's own three-point seat belt, and the seat itself can also be attached to ISOFIX points for extra stability. The backrest folds down onto the base so it is compact and easy to carry between cars. This page is for the Comfort version in Magic Black.

What tests and reviews found

• Germany's ADAC (with Austria's ÖAMTC) tested it in May 2025 and rated it 2.1 "good" (lower is better). Per CYBEX, this was the best result in the child-seat category of that test, shared with one other seat.
• ADAC detail: good side-impact protection (1.7), but only average frontal-impact protection (2.8). Handling 1.8, low risk of misuse, very low pollutants (1.0). But the seat is very wide and takes a lot of room in the car (3.7), and removing the cover is somewhat fiddly.
• Mother&Baby rated it 4.5/5 after a parent used it with her 3, 5 and 7-year-olds on real journeys, praising how light it is, how easy it is to move between cars and how comfortable it is, but criticizing its width and limited seat recline.
• On Amazon.sa: 4.8/5 from 425 ratings, 87% five stars; the count includes ratings from other Amazon stores.
• We have not tested it ourselves; this assessment is based on independent tests, shopper ratings and manufacturer information.

Who it suits

• A child who has outgrown a harnessed seat and is at least 100 cm tall. ADAC advises this type of seat from about age 4, since younger children move around more and slump forward when they fall asleep.
• Families who move the seat between cars, or travel and rent cars, since it is light and folds.

Limits before buying

• Not for babies or toddlers; it has no internal harness and relies entirely on the car's three-point belt. Not for use with a two-point (lap) belt.
• It is wide, so fitting three across in the back of a small car may be hard.
• Check CYBEX's vehicle compatibility list for your car, especially once your child is over 135 cm.
• ISOFIX here only adds stability; your child must always be secured with the three-point vehicle belt.
• ADAC's frontal-impact result is only average, even though the overall result is good.
• Amazon lists this as the "Comfort" version; ADAC does not state which fabric it tested. The seat structure is the same.

Care and safe use

• Cover: wash separately at 30 °C on a delicate cycle; do not tumble dry or dry in direct sun.
• Plastic parts: clean with warm water and mild detergent; no harsh chemicals or bleach.
• Never use the seat without its original cover.
• Set the headrest so there is no more than 2 cm between your child's shoulder and the bottom of the headrest, and make sure the shoulder belt runs over the collarbone, not the neck.
• The plastic heats up in the sun; cover or remove the seat when the car is parked in the sun, and never leave your child alone in the car.
• Replace it after any accident even if no damage is visible, and do not use it for more than 9 years, per CYBEX.
