Overview
The Hauck Dream N Play Plus is a simple, rectangular travel cot and playpen with large mesh panels and an extra-large zip-out side hatch. Hauck rates it from birth to 36 months and up to 15 kg. It is one of the best-known budget travel cots in Europe and did well in recent independent tests.

- F.A.Z. Kaufkompass: after testing 36 travel cots, it named the Dream N Play Plus the best choice for most people for its build quality, quick set-up and large opening; downsides were no baby insert and the weight.
- Amazon.sa shoppers: buyers in Saudi Arabia mention that it is easy to set up, see-through and a good size; several say the included base is thin.
Who it suits
- Families who want an affordable travel cot for trips, grandparents' homes or a play area in the living room.
- Toddlers who like to climb in and out by themselves through the side hatch.
Limitations
- No raised bassinet and only one low lying height, so you have to bend down a long way with a newborn.
- The included insert base is thin. If you add a mattress, use only one that fits the 120 × 60 cm base exactly, and never stack it with extra padding.
- At about 7.5 kg it is not especially light for air travel.
- Some Amazon listing text mentions wheels, a toy bar and a Disney design. Stiftung Warentest lists no wheels for this model, and the grey version is shown without those extras.
Care
- Wipe the frame and fabric with a damp cloth (per the Amazon.sa listing).
- Set up and fold the cot following the Hauck instruction manual, and make sure the frame is fully locked before each use.

Based on published independent tests and shopper ratings (we did not test it ourselves). Stiftung Warentest rated it good (1.6) overall in 11/2025, with safety and durability making up 45% of that grade, and F.A.Z. Kaufkompass picked it as the best travel cot for most people after testing 36 models. Amazon shoppers give it 4.6/5 from over 18,000 ratings. The score is held back by price: on Amazon.sa it costs well above the roughly EUR 60 European online price. It also has no bassinet, only one lying height and a thin base, so many parents add a fitted mattress.
