7.2/ 10Worth it with conditions
An editorial assessment, separate from shopper ratings.
Why this rating?7.2 / 10Worth it with conditions
One of the most recommended nipple creams in independent testing: it ranked first in Good Housekeeping UK's test (87/100, 85+ parent testers), Mother&Baby names it best overall (4.5/5), and BabyGearLab found it the most hydrating, though it scored 65/100 there because of its sticky texture.
Its only ingredient is highly purified lanolin with no smell or taste, and Lansinoh says it does not need to be wiped off before feeding.
This Amazon.sa listing holds 4.4/5, but from only 89 ratings.
Drawbacks: a thick texture that can be uncomfortable to spread on badly cracked skin, possible greasy marks on clothes, unsuitable for anyone allergic to lanolin, and at about SAR 75 from a third-party seller it costs more than its UK price (about £7-12).
Its main use is limited to the early weeks of breastfeeding.
This is an editorial assessment based on published sources; we did not test the product ourselves, and it is no substitute for advice from a midwife or lactation consultant.
Lansinoh HPA Lanolin is a nipple cream for breastfeeding mothers made from a single ingredient: highly purified anhydrous (HPA) lanolin, a wax that comes from sheep's wool. This is the 40 ml UK/EU purple tube (part number 44302). Lansinoh says it helps soothe and protect sore, cracked nipples and dry skin.
